È necessario che Editore, Redazione, organi editoriali, Autori, e referee conoscano e condividano i requisiti etici presenti all’interno di questo codice.
Doveri dell’Editore e della Redazione.
Il Direttore Scientifico e gli altri membri del Comitato di Redazione della Rivista sono i soli responsabili della decisione di pubblicare gli articoli sottoposti alla Rivista stessa. Il Comitato di Redazione è guidato dalle politiche editoriali della rivista e vincolato dalle disposizioni di legge vigenti in materia di diffamazione, violazione del copyright e plagio.
L’Editore, la Redazione e gli altri componenti dello staff si impegnano a non rivelare informazioni sugli articoli proposti ad altre persone oltre agli organi editoriali e ai referee. In particolare, i redattori si impegnano a non usare in proprie ricerche i contenuti di un articolo proposto per la pubblicazione senza il consenso scritto dell’autore. La Redazione si impegna a tutelare la riservatezza dei materiali proposti per la pubblicazione e a proteggere l’identità dei referee nel procedimento di double blind peer review (doppio referaggio cieco). La Redazione è tenuta a conservare in un database riservato i risultati dei processi di referaggio dei saggi, ammessi e non, alla pubblicazione.
Doveri degli organi editoriali.
Gli organi editoriali, intesi come direzione della rivista e comitato scientifico, garantiscono la correttezza delle procedure ai fini della valutazione, accettazione o rifiuto dei contributi sottoposti dagli autori, in particolare sulla double blind peer review (doppio referaggio cieco), che consiste nella richiesta di almeno due pareri relativi ad ogni saggio di ogni fascicolo a referee scelti tra studiosi ed esperti della materia in esame, anonimi rispetto all’autore che ha sottoposto il suo contributo (a sua volta anonimo per i medesimi referee). Si riservano inoltre di ricorrere a un terzo referee in caso di conflitto tra due pareri e qualora la decisione della pubblicazione o meno del saggio non possa essere risolta internamente. I materiali inediti contenuti in un manoscritto inviato non devono essere utilizzati nella ricerca dagli organi editoriali senza l’espresso consenso scritto dell’autore. Gli organi editoriali evitano in questa procedura ogni conflitto di interessi e qualunque tipo di discriminazione di razza, genere, orientamento sessuale, credo religioso, origine etnica, cittadinanza, orientamento scientifico, politico degli autori, né della loro appartenenza accademica. Il rapporto tra la Direzione e l’Editore sarà improntato all’indipendenza e la scelta dei lavori da pubblicare sarà basata su criteri di qualità senza interferenze da parte dell’Editore. La decisione ultima di pubblicazione spetta alla Direzione della rivista. Gli organi editoriali si impegnano affinché le pubblicazioni incontrino le esigenze di autori e lettori e a migliorare la qualità della rivista.
Doveri degli autori.
Gli autori dichiarano di conoscere e attenersi ai seguenti requisiti etici: accesso e conservazione dei dati; originalità del contributo e divieto di plagio; divieto di pubblicazioni multiple, ripetitive e/o concorrenti; indicazione delle fonti; paternità dell’opera; divieto di conflitto di interessi e divulgazione. In particolare, l’autore, oltre ad attenersi ai tempi indicati per la consegna del contributo, è tenuto ad accettare la procedura di referaggio.
Gli autori devono garantire che le loro opere siano del tutto originali e, qualora siano utilizzati il lavoro e/o le parole di altri autori, che queste siano opportunamente parafrasate o citate letteralmente, ed il corretto riferimento al lavoro di altri autori deve essere sempre indicato. Gli autori hanno l’obbligo di citare tutte le pubblicazioni che hanno avuto influenza nel determinare la natura del lavoro proposto.
I manoscritti proposti non devono essere stati pubblicati come materiale protetto da copyright in altre riviste. I manoscritti in fase di revisione dalla rivista non devono essere sottoposti ad altre riviste ai fini di pubblicazione
Con la consegna del contributo, dichiara implicitamente che non sussistono conflitti di interessi che potrebbero aver condizionato i risultati conseguiti o le interpretazioni proposte.
Doveri dei referee.
I referee assistono il Comitato di Redazione nelle decisioni editoriali e, attraverso le comunicazioni veicolate dal Comitato di Redazione, possono eventualmente aiutare l’autore a migliorare il manoscritto.
I referee dichiarano di conoscere e attenersi ai seguenti requisiti etici: contribuire alla decisione editoriale; rispetto dei tempi; riservatezza; oggettività; divieto di conflitto di interessi e divulgazione. In particolare, per contribuzione alla decisione si intende che la peer review compiuta dai referee è una modalità con cui la direzione viene aiutata ad assumere decisioni sui contributi proposti dagli autori e consente anche allo stesso autore di migliorare il proprio contributo. I referee sono tenuti alla riservatezza dei testi assegnati, non dovendo questi essere discussi con altre persone senza esplicita autorizzazione. I referee si impegnano a indicare con precisione gli estremi bibliografici di opere fondamentali eventualmente trascurate dall’autore; i referee devono inoltre segnalare agli organi editoriali eventuali somiglianze o sovrapposizioni del testo ricevuto in lettura con altre opere a lui note. Nel caso in cui il referee individui la paternità del saggio sottoposto alla sua valutazione ed esistano conflitti d’interesse dovuti a precedenti rapporti di collaborazione, è tenuto a non accettare la valutazione; lo stesso dicasi nel caso si verificasse una situazione di concorrenza. La procedura di peer review deve essere compiuta in maniera oggettiva, nel senso che i giudizi dei referee al contributo devono essere motivati in maniera adeguata. I revisori sono tenuti a valutare i manoscritti per il loro contenuto scientifico, senza distinzione di razza, genere, orientamento sessuale, credo religioso, origine etnica, cittadinanza, orientamento scientifico, politico degli autori, né della loro appartenenza accademica.
Il referee selezionato che non si senta qualificato alla revisione del manoscritto assegnato, o che sappia di non essere in grado di eseguire la revisione nei tempi richiesti, deve notificare la sua decisione al comitato di redazione, rinunciando a partecipare al processo di revisione.
I manoscritti ricevuti per la revisione devono essere trattati come documenti riservati. Essi non devono essere mostrati o discussi con chiunque non sia previamente autorizzato dal comitato di redazione. La peer-review deve essere condotta obiettivamente. La critica personale dell’autore non è ammessa.

The Publisher, Editorial Staff, Editorial Bodies, Authors and Reviewers are expected to be familiar with and abide by the ethical requirements set forth in this Code.
Duties of the Publisher and the Editorial Staff.
The Scientific Director and the other members of the Editorial Board of the Journal are the only ones responsible for the decision of publishing the articles submitted to the Journal itself. The Editorial Committee is guided by the editorial policies of the magazine, and is bound by the legal provisions in force on libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
The Publisher, Editorial Staff and other personnel involved with the journal undertake not to disclose information about the articles submitted to any persons other than the Editorial Bodies and the Reviewers. More specifically, the Editorial Staff undertake not to utilise the contents of any article submitted for publication in their own research without the written consent of the Author. The Editorial Staff further undertake to protect the confidentiality of the material submitted for publication and the identity of the Reviewers in the double blind peer review process. The Editorial Staff are bound to conserve in a confidential database the results of the review process of the articles submitted for publication, whether they are accepted or not.
Duties of the Editorial Bodies.
The Editorial Bodies – understood as the Editor, the Editorial Board and the Scientific Committee – guarantee the fairness of the procedures for assessment, acceptance or rejection of the contributions submitted by Authors, in particular that of the double blind peer review. This process consists of requesting at least two opinions on each article in each issue from Reviewers selected among scholars and experts on the subject in question. The identity of the Authors is not known to the Reviewers, and vice versa. It is also possible to resort to a third Reviewer in the event of two conflicting opinions, and where the decision on whether or not to publish the article cannot be made internally. The Editorial Bodies must not utilise the unpublished material contained in any submitted manuscript without the ex- press written consent of the Author. In their procedures the Editorial Bodies must avoid all conflicts of interest and any type of unfair discrimination based on the Authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, scientific or political orientation, or academic affiliation. The relationship between the Editorial Bodies and the Publisher will be based on criteria of quality, without interference on the part of the Publisher. The final decision on publication rests with the Editor of the journal. The Editorial Bodies are committed to ensuring that the publications meet the demands of Authors and Readers and to improving the quality of the journal.
Duties of the Authors.
The Authors declare that they are familiar with and abide by the following ethical requirements: access and storage of data; originality of the contribution and ban on plagiarism; ban on duplicate, multiple and/or competitive publication; indication of sources; paternity of the work; prohibition on conflicts of interest and on divulgation. More specifically, in addition to complying with the deadlines indicated for the sub- mission of the articles, Authors are also bound to accept the review procedure.
Authors must ensure that their works are completely original and also, if the work and/or words of other authors are used, that these are appropriately paraphrased or quoted literally; moreover the correct reference to the work of other authors must always be indicated. Authors are obliged to cite all the publications that had an influence in determining the nature of the proposed work.
The proposed manuscripts are required to not have been published as copyrighted material in other journals. Manuscripts under revision by the journal should not be submitted to other journals for publication. By submitting the contribution, the Author implicitly declares that there are no conflicts of interest that could have conditioned the results achieved or the interpretations proposed.
Duties of the Reviewers.
Referees assist the Editorial Board in editorial decisions and, through communications conveyed by the Editorial Board, they can possibly help the author to improve the manuscript.

The Reviewers declare that they are familiar with and abide by the following ethical requirements: making a contribution to the editorial decision; compliance with deadlines; confidentiality; objectivity; prohibition on conflicts of interest and on divulgation. More specifically, contributing to the editorial decision means that the peer review performed by the Reviewer is a way of assisting the editor to make decisions about the contributions proposed by Authors, while also enabling the Author to improve his or her article. The Reviewers are bound to confidentiality regarding the texts assigned to them, which must not be discussed with other people without explicit authorisation. The Reviewers undertake to provide precise bibliographical details of any fundamental works which the Author may have overlooked; the Reviewers must also report to the Editorial Bodies any similarities to or overlapping with other known works detected in the text received for review. If the Reviewer should detect the paternity of the article submitted for his opinion, and conflicts of interest exist due to prior collaboration, the Reviewer is bound to decline the review; the same holds in the case of a situation of competition. The peer review procedure must be performed in an objective manner and the Reviewer’s opinions on the submission must be adequately motivated. The Reviewers are expected to assess the manuscripts on the basis of their scientific content, without making distinctions regarding the Authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, scientific or political orientation, or academic affiliation.
The selected referee who does not feel qualified to review the assigned manuscript, or who knows he/she is unable to perform the revision within the required time frame, must notify the editorial board of his/her decision, giving up his/her participation in the revision process.
Manuscripts received for revision should be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown or discussed with anyone not previously authorized by the editorial board. The peer-review must be conducted objectively. The author’s personal critique is not allowed.
